Applicant organization’s <br />Purpose/Mission (2-4 sentences): <br />As a non-profit, the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association <br />(NCSEA) works to enable clean energy jobs, economic <br />opportunities, and affordable energy options for North Carolinians. <br />We work toward a vision of a North Carolina where the benefits of <br />clean energy, including economic development opportunities, <br />more affordable consumer bills, job growth, market exports, local <br />tax based expansion, and an improved quality of life, are bountiful <br />for all North Carolinians. For over forty years, our mission-driven <br />business model has furthered the transformation of North Carolina <br />energy policy, markets, and systems that create an affordable, <br />resilient, and secure clean energy future. <br /> <br />3. Please provide a brief description <br />of your organization’s past <br />achievements in carrying out <br />similar projects and evidence of <br />successful record of meeting <br />proposed budgets and <br />timetables (2-4 sentences): <br />Over the last several years, NCSEA has increased focus towards <br />using clean energy as a mechanism to help underserved <br />populations through reducing energy burden, generating <br />community benefits and increasing the health of homes. NCSEA’s <br />Energy Data Solutions Team has in particular pursued this work <br />through unlocking energy efficiency for low-to-moderate (LMI) <br />income communities. This is done through working with utilities to <br />help them develop innovative inclusive customer programs such as <br />tariffed on-bill (TOB) and by working with the N.C Weatherization <br />Assistance Program (NCWAP) to evaluate the program and <br />recommend best practices. See the Appendix for more information <br />on collaboration with project partners. See Question 29 for more <br />information on past collaborations with the project team. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />4.
