17 <br />illegally located signs, and three (3) on-going land use violations (i,e, <br />development of property that exceeded original Zoning Compliance Permit <br />provisions) with one (1) being considered a major violation of a Special Use <br />Permit., <br />Bingham: Twenty-three (23) zoning enforcement violations being pursued by the <br />enforcement officer representing approximately fourteen percent (14%) of the <br />total number of active cases <br />Type of Violations: Nine (9) jurilced car violations, three (.3) outdoor storage <br />violations, two (2) landfill violations, five (5) illegally located signs, one (1) <br />buffer yard violation, and tlu-ee (3) land use violations (i.e. property owner <br />began a land disturbing/construction activity without property permits). <br />Chapel Hill: Twelve (12) zoning enforcement violations being pursued by the enforcement <br />officer representing approximately seven percent (7%) of the total number of <br />active cases <br />Type of Violations: Tluee (.3) junked car violations, three (3) outdoor storage <br />violations, three (.3) landfill violations, two (2) illegally located signs, and one <br />(1) land use violations (i.e. property owner began a land <br />disturbing/construction activity without property permits). <br />"~* Note: These are approximate numbers as staff is in the process of successfully closing <br />approximately forty (40) open cases.
