Erosion <br /> and Sediment(control Man almost current yersion28J of 4�__tho_f\,C_ Grn�on <br /> Control Manu_all erosion and sedimentation control measures, structures, <br /> and devices shall be so planned, designed, and constructed as to <br /> provide protection from accelerated erosion and sedimentation from the <br /> calculated maximum peak rates of stormwater runoff290 from the 10ten- <br /> year frequency storm. <br /> (b) Jeff Stormwater runoff rates shall be calculated according to the <br /> procedures in the latest edition of the United States Department of <br /> AgricultureSDA Natural Resources—SG4-Conservation Service's "National <br /> Engineering Field Handbook 630 forManual fer Conservation Practices," <br /> or according to other calculation procedures acceptable to the Erosion <br /> Control Officer. <br /> (6) Standards for High Quality Waters <br /> In High Quality Water(HQW)zones the following design standards shall apply: <br /> (a) Uncovered Areas <br /> (i) Uncovered areas in HQW zones shall be limited at any time to a <br /> maximum total area of 20 acres within the boundaries of the <br /> tract. Only the portion of the Land-Disturbing Activity within a <br /> HQW zone shall be governed by this section. <br /> (ii) Larger areas may be uncovered within the boundaries of the <br /> tract with the written approval of- the Director of the Di"i6i^n of <br /> Land Resougoes of the DeoortmeRt of 1-RVOFer,ment and Natural <br /> ResouFGes.-tThe Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land <br /> Resources (DEMLR), upon the applicant providing engineering <br /> justification with a construction sequence that considers phasing, <br /> limiting exposure, submission of weekly self-inspection reports, <br /> and more conservative design than the 25-year storm. The <br /> Director of DEMLR may also stipulate the inclusion of other <br /> conditions in the plan as necessary based on specific site <br /> conditions.-291 <br /> (b) Erosion and Sedimentation Controls <br /> (i) Erosion and sedimentation control measures, structures, and <br /> devices within HQW zones shall be so planned, designed, and <br /> constructed to provide protection from the stormwater runoff of <br /> the 25-year storm which produces the maximum peak rate of <br /> stormwater runoff. <br /> 288 Text correction—added a space.
