Article 6: Development Standards 104 <br /> Section 6.15: Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control245F <br /> (v) Any activity involving the temporary or permanent storage <br /> (above or below ground) of any noxious, toxic, or hazardous <br /> substance, including fuel storage facilities. <br /> (c) The proposed land diGtUFbiRg aGtiVityLand-Disturbing Activity will not: <br /> (i) Significantly increase or decrease the rate or volume of surface <br /> water runoffs; <br /> (ii) Significantly contribute to the degradation of water runoffs; <br /> (iii) Have a significant adverse impact on a wetland, watercourse, or <br /> water supply reservoir,; <br /> (iv) Occur within a buffer area circumscribing a water supply <br /> reservoir;or <br /> (v) Involve open burning of trees, limbs, stumps and construction <br /> debris associated with the permitted activity. <br /> 6.15.7 Design and Performance Standards <br /> (A) Basic Control Objectives <br /> An Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan may be disapproved pursuant to Section <br /> 2.19 of this Ordinance if the plan 8r^Si^^ and sedimentation GGRtr„I pla Erosion and <br /> Sedimentation Control Plan fails to address the following control objectives: <br /> (1) Identify Critical Areas <br /> On-site areas which are subject to severe erosion, and off-site areas which are <br /> especially vulnerable to damage from erosion and/or sedimentation, are to be <br /> identified and receive special attention, and appropriate mitigativ-e—tigation272 <br /> measures are to be taken to protect those areas. <br /> (2) Plan for Erosion Control <br /> (a) Design the development and prepare the site plan so that the necessary <br /> sediment-trapping devices and erosion control measures can be <br /> accommodated and are accessible for maintenance and removal. <br /> (b) Observe the requirements and standards in <br /> ,r„d co,d;mo t G,,,,+r„ll o�,,r,;r,� and Desie r,the most current version of <br /> North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A Chapter 4: Sedimentation <br /> Control, and the most current version of the273 NC Erosion Control <br /> Manual. <br /> (3) Limit Exposed Areas <br /> All land-disturbing activities are to be planned and conducted to minimize the <br /> size of the area to be exposed at any one time. <br /> (4) Limit Time of Exposure <br /> All land-disturbing activities are to be planned and conducted to limit exposure to <br /> the shortest feasible specified in North Carolina General Statute 113A- <br /> 57, the most current version of North Carolina Administrative Code Title 15A <br /> 171 Text correction-replaced "mitigative"with "mitigation". <br /> 273 Consistent reference to"most current version"of North Carolina Administrative Code and the NC Erosion <br /> Control Manual. <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 6-121 <br />
