The numbers of waste drop-offs have risen dramatically <br />since the start of collection (400% in 3 months). This site will <br />continue well into the future unless funding is no longer available <br />for the pick-up and composting of food waste that is collected. <br />22. Where <br />would fossil fuels have been <br />burned if not for your project? <br />For projects creating electricity <br />usage reductions, it can be <br />difficult to determine the <br />location of the power <br />produced. Please feel free to <br />state “Grid-tied electricity <br />reduction” <br />Emissions will be reduced in Orange County and in surrounding <br />counties that utilize the finished product —rich, carbon- <br />sequestering compost. Methane emissions will be reduced in the <br />mega-landfill in Sampson County where Orange County waste is <br />taken. Residents in Hillsborough and the surrounding area will <br />reduce carbon emissions in Orange County as a result of not <br />having to drive to a more distant site to drop off compostables. <br />23.
