Amendments to the budget resolution; budget <br />transfers. <br />(a) Subject to the prov-isicns of subsect rn (b) of this section, the board of <br />education may amend the budget resolution at any time after its adoption, in <br />any manner, so long as the resolution as amended continues to satisfy the <br />requirements of G S. 115C -425 and 1150 -432. <br />(b) If the board of county commissioners allocates part or all of its appro- <br />priations pursuant to G S, 1150- 429(b), the board of educatior, must obtain the <br />approval of the board of county commissioners for an amendment to the budget <br />that (i) increases or decreases expenditures fzom the capital outlay fund for <br />projects listed in G S 11,5C-426( NU or (2), or (ii) increases or decreases the <br />amount of county appropriation allocated to a purpose or functirr by twenty - <br />five percent (2590) or more from the amount contained in the budget ordinance <br />adopted by the board of county commissioners: Provided, that at its discretion, <br />the board may in its budget ordinance specify a lesser percentage, so long as <br />such percentage is not less than ten percent (10 ). <br />346 <br />
