HIGHER EDUCATION <br />COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM STUDY <br />CLIENT: NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL. ASSEMBLY <br />MGT was selected to undertake an analysis of administrative costs in small colleges as part of a joint <br />investigation of the North Carolina General Assembly and the State Board of Community Colleges, <br />Issues to be explored included whether some type of consolidation of administrative activities should <br />be considered. Further, the current funding policies for both small colleges and branch campuses of <br />multicampus colleges was evaluated.. <br />UPDATE OF PRESIDENTS' SALARY ANALYSIS <br />CLIENT: NORTH CAROLINA COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM <br />Based on an earlier project MGT conducted for the North Carolina State Board of Community Col- <br />leges, MGT was asked to conduct an update analysis of presidents' salaries,The analysis focused on <br />determining competitive salary rates at community colleges in states believed to have community <br />college systems with similar missions. MGT compiled and analyzed data for each of six enrollment size <br />categories for colleges in ten states. <br />PEER FACULTY SALARY COMPARISON <br />CLIENT: UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA SYSTEM <br />The University of North Carolina General Administration retained MGT to conduct a peer faculty <br />salary comparison study in response to legislation passed by the North Carolina General Assembly. <br />MGT performed extensive intra -state, regional, and national comparisons,The final report presented <br />the analysis of the comparison data, summarized MGT's findings, and offered recommendations to <br />assist the University of North Carolina General Administration's goal of competitive faculty salaries <br />and compensation, <br />CLASSIFICATION AND PAY STUDY <br />CLIENT: MAYLAND COMMUNITY COII-EGE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />MGT assisted Mayland Community College with the preparation of new employee job descriptions <br />and the updating of existing employee salary scales to enable the college to compete effectively with <br />area private industry and other North Carolina community college member institutions,This project <br />required MGTto analyze administrative and academic job descriptions and salary information throughout <br />the North Carolina Community College System, <br />oM ricarica 17 <br />i <br />
