Rowan - Salisbury Schools <br />Efficiency Study <br />Custodial Services <br />The Custodial Services program helps to ensure that school buildings provide a healthy <br />environment for students and staff. This program is a site -based management program used to <br />keep existing facilities safe, clean and comfortable so children can learn in a healthy <br />environment. <br />Major stakeholders expressed a high degree of satisfaction with the quality of services provided <br />by Custodial Services. Other accomplishments include the development and deployment of a <br />comprehensive formula to allocate custodial staff on a per- site - basis, <br />Areas of improvement for custodial services include: <br />Custodial Services does not use performance measures to monitor performance and identify <br />opportunities for savings <br />Custodial Services does not have a policy and procedure manual for its operations <br />In the following chapters we discuss these findings and many others, and present a number of <br />recommendations to help Rowan - Salisbury improve its operations.
