I believe in empowering people and community groups to make a <br /> difference and to ensure that opportunities for personal growth can be achieved. It is an honor to <br /> serve my community and I believe my extensive experience in various social justice issues as it <br /> often relates to public health and prevention, contributes insight into effective community <br /> responses and strategies providing another voice at the table. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> I bring with me 25 years of diverse experience in working with underserved and marginalized <br /> population groups in the United States as well as internationally, bringing about awareness and <br /> putting forth solutions that address equality and justice. I have also worked within depressed <br /> regions with people who are underrepresented and have little resources. i.e. people with <br /> disabilities, gender-based violence, alcohol and substance abuse prevention among youth, <br /> community policing. <br /> Conflict of Interest: <br />
