Greeson <br /> asked for any additional nominations, with none. It was voted 7-0 with an extension in <br /> favor of Fleming to be Vice-Chair. <br /> b. Review and Scoring of Outside Agency Requests for FY 22-23- The council took <br /> considerable time to review and score five outside agency applications for fiscal year <br /> 2022-2023. Greeson explained the process and the reasoning why advisory boards review <br /> and score applications. Some concerns that the council had were that some agencies did <br /> not have a large participation rate from Orange County residents, lack of budget <br /> information, sustainability over time, cost per participant concerns, and the lack of <br /> explanation of direct service to Orange County residents. After reviewing all the <br /> applications, Greeson asked members if anyone had any score changes with none, the <br /> council scored the following for each agency request: Bridge II Sports: 82, E3 Camp: 84, <br /> Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail: 87.5, ReCyclery: 81.5, Triangle Bikeworks: 87. <br /> Old Business: None <br /> Report of the Director- <br /> a. April 6 Meeting Agenda Items-Joint advisory board meeting- Stancil met with Parks <br /> and Recreation directors from the other three jurisdictions to discuss a joint advisory <br /> meeting. They are tentatively hoping to hold the meeting in the month of May or first part <br /> of June, although some discussion of a fall event came up. It is Chapel Hill's turn to host. <br /> Some topics of discussion or the meeting include: connectivity,partnerships and <br /> collaboration, community needs assessments. Youth delegate memo will be presented to <br /> the BOCC at the April 5 meeting, which requires a change in the Parks and Recreation <br /> Council ordinance. April Meeting location-Stancil explained that as of March I st, <br /> advisory boards are allowed to meet in person. Some members showed interest in <br /> meeting in person. He said staff will send out a poll to members to determine their <br /> preference related to the meeting location. Resolutions of appreciation for outgoing <br /> members Greeson and Rhodes will take place at the April meeting. <br /> Council and Committee Reports: <br /> a. Intergovernmental Parks Work Group (next mtg April 13) - Chris Colvin emailed <br /> Stancil prior to meeting to say that he cannot make the meeting. Staff will email members <br /> to see if anyone would like to attend in his place. <br /> b. Items from the Council -None <br /> c. Friends of Orange County Parks and Recreation (FOPR)—Reyman said that she will <br /> have something for next meeting in April. <br /> Next Meeting: April 6, 6:30 pm. <br /> Adjournment: Chair Greeson adjourned meeting at 8:50. <br />
