Purpose of the Project <br /> The purpose of the project described in this agreement is for Carolina Demography to provide data to the Orange <br /> County Department of Social Services in support of its work to measure racial equity in the County. <br /> 2. Duration of the Project <br /> The duration of the agreement is April 1,2022 to July 31, 2022. <br /> 3. Description of the Project <br /> Carolina Demography will create a databook (Excel file) to be used as source material for the Orange County <br /> Department of Social Services ("the Department.") The databook will be used to supplement items already <br /> available to the Department of Social Services as indicated in the table below. <br /> The databook will contain the items listed under"Key Deliverables," below. Carolina Demography will also <br /> produce a one-page summary highlighting significant items. <br /> 4. Roles and Responsibilities <br /> Carolina Demography will deliver the items described below ("Key Deliverables") and perform work in accordance <br /> with the schedule a described below ("Milestone Dates".) <br /> Carolina Demography reserves the right to approve any use of its logo. <br /> The Department will approve this Scope of Work and the Service Agreement of which it is a part by the date <br /> indicated below. <br /> The Department will also designate an individual to work with Carolina Demography, who will: <br /> • Review data sources, indicators, and reporting. <br /> • Review proposed data tables and other deliverables, and review and approve final deliverables in <br /> accordance with the milestone dates listed in the schedule below. <br /> • Request changes to deliverables utilizing the input process established by Carolina Demography. <br /> • Permit Carolina Demography to use materials compiled for this project in blogs and other informational <br /> purposes. <br /> • Provide additional information and definitions as requested by Carolina Demography, <br /> 5. Key Deliverables <br /> The main deliverable will be a databook containing data tables broken down by race and ethnicity for each <br /> indicator, documentation on definitions, and a report summarizing the data and providing explanations where <br /> appropriate. <br /> The databook will include all items listed in Appendix A. Carolina Demography will investigate the availability of <br /> items in Appendix B and will provide the data as available. <br /> Carolina Demography will ensure that the databook is organized to facilitate access by clients. <br /> Carolina Demography will review databook contents for significant data points and trends of note and will <br /> highlight significant data items and trends. <br /> Throughout the project, Carolina Demography will be available to the client contact to answer questions <br />
