ORANGE COUNTY 019913-11 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification General Requirements for <br /> Divisions 23 and 26 Work <br /> <br /> <br />Where floors, walls and ceilings must be penetrated for access to engineering work, provide types of access doors 1 <br />indicated, including floor doors if any. Furnish sizes indicated or, where not otherwise indicated, furnish 24" x 24" 2 <br />panels. Furnish manufacturer's complete units, of type recommended for application in indicated substrate 3 <br />construction, in each case, complete with anchorages and hardware. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Except as otherwise indicated, fabricate wall/ceiling door units of welded steel construction with welds ground 6 <br />smooth, 16-gage frames and 14-gage flush panel doors, 175 deg. swing with concealed spring hinges, flush 7 <br />screw-driver-operated cam locks, factory-applied rust-inhibitive prime-coat paint finish. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Provide rated access doors where installed in fire resistance rated floor and wall assemblies to meet fire rating. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br />PART 3 – EXECUTION 13 <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br />GENERAL 16 <br /> 17 <br />Comply with NFPA 241, Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alterations, and Demolition Operations; ANSI A10 18 <br />Series standards for Safety Requirements for Construction and Demolition; and Chapter 14 of the North Carolina 19 <br />State Building Code: Fire Code. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br />COOPERATION WITH OTHER TRADES 23 <br /> 24 <br />The Contractor shall give full cooperation to other trades and shall furnish any and all information necessary to permit 25 <br />the work of other trades. Information to be provided by the Contractor includes, but is not limited to templates, 26 <br />patterns, setting plans, and shop details as may be necessary for the proper installation of work and for the purpose 27 <br />of coordinating adjacent work. Information required by other trades shall be provided in a timely manner and shall be 28 <br />sufficient to allow the work of such other trades to proceed with the least possible interference or delay. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Where the work of the Contractor will be installed in close proximity to, or may interfere with work of other trades, the 31 <br />Contractor shall assist in working out space conditions to make a satisfactory adjustment. If the Contractor installs 32 <br />his work before coordination with other trades, he shall make the necessary changes in his work to correct 33 <br />the condition without extra charge. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br />MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE AND STEEL SUPPORTS 37 <br /> 38 <br />All concrete curbs, bases, etc., required for mechanical or electrical equipment and components shall be provided 39 <br />under the Division requiring them except where specifically indicated and/or specified to be provided under a different 40 <br />Division. 41 <br /> 42 <br />"Housekeeping pads", constructed of 3000 psi concrete doweled to floor slab, shall be provided for each floor-43 <br />mounted component. Pads for air-handling units shall, unless indicated otherwise on the drawings, be 6" high, while 44 <br />pads for all other equipment shall be 4" high. Pads shall be finished smooth with chamfered top edges and corners. 45 <br />Equipment and other floor-mounted elements shall be installed and shall be anchored and grouted to housekeeping 46 <br />pads. 47 <br /> 48 <br />Miscellaneous steel for equipment, pipe, duct, raceway, etc. installation required by the work in any Division shall be 49 <br />provided and placed under that Division except where specifically indicated and/or specified to be provided under a 50 <br />different Division. 51 <br /> 52 <br />Anchors, inserts, supports, attachments, etc., required and but not indicated on the Drawings shall be provided under 53 <br />this Contract. 54 <br /> 55 <br /> 56 <br /> 57 <br /> 58 <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
