ORANGE COUNTY 019913-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification General Requirements for <br /> Divisions 23 and 26 Work <br /> <br /> <br /> SECTION 019913 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR DIVISIONS 23 and 26 WORK 1 <br /> 2 <br />The “Engineer of Record” for the work defined by Division 01 Sections is Salas O’Brien, 1620 Midtown Place (27609), 3 <br />P.O. Box 19944 (27619), Raleigh, NC, (919) 832-8118. The term “engineer,” “architect-engineer,” “engineer-4 <br />architect,” “A-E,” “E-A,” etc., when used in these Sections shall reference Salas O’Brien. 5 <br /> 6 <br />The “Engineer of Record” for the work defined by Divisions 23 and 26 is Salas O’Brien., 1620 Midtown Place (27609), 7 <br />P.O. Box 19944 (27619), Raleigh, NC, (919) 832-8118. The term “engineer,” “architect-engineer,” “engineer-8 <br />architect,” “A-E,” “E-A,” etc., when used in Divisions 23 and 26 Drawings and Specifications shall reference Salas 9 <br />O’Brien. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 13 <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 16 <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br />Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other 19 <br />Division 01 Specification sections, apply to this section. 20 <br /> 21 <br />The requirements specified herein shall govern all Sections in Divisions 23 and 26, whether stated therein or 22 <br />not. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Where items specified in the other sections of this Division conflict with requirements of this Section, the former shall 25 <br />govern. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br />REVIEW OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS 29 <br /> 30 <br />The Contract Documents may represent imperfect data and may contain errors, omissions, conflicts, inconsistencies, 31 <br />code violations and improper use of materials. Such deficiencies will be corrected by the A-E when identified. The 32 <br />Contractor shall carefully study and compare the individual Contract Documents with each other and report at once in 33 <br />writing to the A-E any deficiencies the Contractor may discover. The Contractor shall require each subcontractor to 34 <br />likewise study the documents and report at once any deficiencies discovered. The Contractor shall resolve all 35 <br />reported deficiencies with the A-E prior to starting any work. Any work performed prior to receipt of instructions 36 <br />from the A-E will be done at the Contractor's risk. If the Contractor performs any construction activity knowing it 37 <br />involves a recognized error, inconsistency, or omission in the Contract Documents without such notice to the A-E, the 38 <br />Contractor shall assume appropriate responsibility for such performance and shall bear an appropriate amount of the 39 <br />attributable costs for correction. 40 <br /> 41 <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining habitable structures under this Contract rainproof, and for making 42 <br />equipment and utility installations properly perform the intended function. If he is prevented from so doing by any 43 <br />limitations of the drawings or specifications, the Contractor shall immediately notify the A-E in writing of such 44 <br />limitations before proceeding with construction in the area where the problem or limitation exists. 45 <br /> 46 <br /> 47 <br />DEFINITIONS 48 <br /> 49 <br />Mechanical Work: Work required by this Contract as defined by specification Division 23 (Heating, Ventilating, and 50 <br />Air-Conditioning). 51 <br /> 52 <br />Electrical Work: Work required by this Contract as defined by specification Divisions 26. 53 <br /> 54 <br />Labeled: Appliances, equipment, materials or products to which has been attached a label, symbol, or other 55 <br />identifying mark of an organization acceptable to the North Carolina Building Code Council and concerned with 56 <br />product evaluation, that maintains periodic inspection of production of labeled equipment or materials and by whose 57 <br />labeling the manufacturer indicates compliance with identified standards or has been tested and found suitable for a 58 <br />specified purpose. 59 <br />60 <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
