Comply with NFPA 10 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. Locate fire extinguishers where con-2 <br />venient and effective for their intended purpose, but not less than one extinguisher on each floor or area at or near 3 <br />each usable stairwell. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Store combustible materials in containers in fire-safe locations. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Maintain unobstructed access to fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, temporary fire-protection facilities, stairways, and 8 <br />other access routes for fighting fires. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />SECURITY AND SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION 12 <br /> 13 <br />Barricades, Warning Signs, and Lights: Comply with requirements of authorities having jurisdiction for erecting struc-14 <br />turally adequate barricades, including warning signs and lighting. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Temporary Egress: Maintain temporary egress from existing occupied facilities as indicated and as required by au-17 <br />thorities having jurisdiction. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Temporary Enclosures: Provide temporary enclosures for protection of construction, in progress and completed, from 20 <br />exposure, foul weather, other construction operations, and similar activities. Provide temporary weathertight enclo-21 <br />sure for building exterior.
