Provide copper conductors 15
with conductivity of not less than 98% at 68 F. 16
17
Connectors and Terminals: Provide copper electrical connectors and terminals that mate and match, 18
including sizes and ratings, with equipment terminals and are recommended by equipment manufacturer for 19
intended applications. Aluminum conducting components are not acceptable for use on this project. 20
21
Electrical Connection Accessories: Provide electrical insulating tape, wirenuts and cable ties as 22
recommended for use by accessories manufacturers for type services indicated. 23
24
25
PART 3 - EXECUTION 26
27
28
INSPECTION 29
30
Inspect area and conditions under which electrical connections for equipment are to be installed and notify A-E in 31
writing of conditions detrimental to proper completion of the Work. Do not proceed with the Work until unsatisfactory 32
conditions have been corrected. 33
34
35
INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS 36
37
Install electrical connections as indicated in accordance with equipment manufacturer's written instructions and with 38
recognized industry practices, and complying with applicable requirements of UL, NEC and NECA'S "Standard of 39
Installation" to ensure that products fulfill requirements. 40
41
Coordinate with other work, including wires/cables, raceway and equipment installation, as necessary to properly 42
interface installation of electrical connections for equipment with other work. 43
44
Connect electrical power supply conductors to equipment conductors in accordance with equipment manufacturer's 45
written instructions and wiring diagrams. Mate and match conductors of electrical connections for proper interface 46
between electrical power supplies and installed equipment. 47
48
Cover splices with electrical insulating material equivalent to, or of greater insulation resistivity rating than electrical 49
insulation rating of those conductors being spliced. 50
51
Prepare cables and wires by cutting and stripping covering armor, jacket, and insulation properly to ensure uniform 52
and neat appearance where cables and wires are terminated. Exercise care to avoid cutting through tapes that will 53
remain on conductors. Also avoid "ringing" copper conductors while skinning wire. 54
55
Trim cables and wires as short as practicable and arrange routing to facilitate inspection, testing and maintenance. 56
Leave a minimum of 6” of excess spare conductor at each termination. 57
58
59
60
DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
