ORANGE COUNTY 260593-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Electrical Connections for Equipment <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 260593 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOR EQUIPMENT 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 5 <br /> 6 <br />Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 7 <br />Specification sections, apply to work of this section. 8 <br /> 9 <br /> 10 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 11 <br /> 12 <br />Manufacturers: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of electrical connectors and terminals, of types and ratings 13 <br />required, and ancillary connection materials, including electrical insulating tape, solder/fluxes, and cable ties, whose 14 <br />products are Listed. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Codes and Standards: 17 <br /> 18 <br />NEC Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of NEC as to type products used and installation of 19 <br />electrical power connections (terminals and splices), for junction boxes, motor starters, and disconnect 20 <br />switches. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Testing Laboratory Compliance: Comply with UL Std. 486A, "Wire Connectors and Soldering Lugs for Use 23 <br />with Copper Conductors" including, but not limited to, tightening of electrical connectors to torque values 24 <br />indicated. Provide electrical connection products and materials that are Listed and Labeled. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br />SUBMITTALS 28 <br /> 29 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 30 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Product Data: Submit manufacturer's data on electrical connections for equipment products and materials. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> 35 <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS 36 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br />MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS 39 <br /> 40 <br />General: For each electrical connection indicated, provide complete assembly of materials, including but not 41 <br />necessarily limited to, pressure connectors, terminals (lugs), electrical insulating tape, cable ties, solderless wire-nuts, 42 <br />and other items and accessories as needed to complete splices and terminations of types indicated. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Metal Conduit, Tubing and Fittings: 45 <br /> 46 <br />General: Provide metal conduit, tubing and fittings of types, grades, and sizes indicated for each type 47 <br />service. Where types and grades are not indicated, provide proper selection as determined by Installer to 48 <br />fulfill wiring requirements and comply with NEC requirements for raceways.
