ORANGE COUNTY 260535-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Electrical Boxes and Fittings <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 260535 - ELECTRICAL BOXES AND FITTINGS 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 8 <br />Specification sections, apply to work of this section. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 12 <br /> 13 <br />Manufacturers: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of electrical boxes and fittings, of types, sizes, and 14 <br />capacities required, whose products are Listed and Labeled. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Codes and Standards: 17 <br /> 18 <br />NEC Compliance: Comply with NEC as applicable to construction and installation of electrical wiring boxes 19 <br />and fittings. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Testing Laboratory Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of UL 50, UL 514-Series, and UL 886 22 <br />pertaining to electrical boxes and fittings. Provide electrical boxes and fittings that are Listed and Labeled. 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br />SUBMITTALS 26 <br /> 27 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 28 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Product Data: Submit manufacturer's data on electrical boxes and fittings. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 33 <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br />FABRICATED MATERIALS 37 <br /> 38 <br />Aluminum products are not acceptable for use on the project. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Outlet Boxes: Provide galvanized coated flat rolled sheet-steel outlet wiring boxes, of shapes, cubic inch capacities, 41 <br />and sizes, including box depths as indicated, suitable for installation at respective locations. Construct outlet boxes 42 <br />with mounting holes, and with cable or conduit-size knockout openings in bottom and sides. Provide boxes with 43 <br />threaded screw holes for attachment of grounding conductor and cover plate or device attachment fittings. 44 <br /> 45 <br />Provide waterproof outlet boxes where box is installed in an outdoor location or in a wet location as defined 46 <br />by the NEC. 47 <br /> 48 <br />Outlet Box Accessories: Provide outlet box accessories as required for each installation, including box supports, 49 <br />mounting ears and brackets, wallboard hangers, box extension rings, fixture studs, cable clamps and metal straps for 50 <br />supporting outlet boxes. Supplied items shall be compatible with outlet boxes being used to fulfill installation 51 <br />requirements for individual wiring situations.
