ORANGE COUNTY 260534-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Raceways <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 260534 - RACEWAYS 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 8 <br />specification sections, apply to work of this section. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 12 <br /> 13 <br />Manufacturers: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of raceway systems of types and sizes required, whose 14 <br />products are Listed and Labeled. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Codes and Standards: 17 <br /> 18 <br />NEMA Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of NEMA Standards Publications pertaining to 19 <br />raceways. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Testing Laboratory Compliance and Labeling: Comply with applicable requirements of UL safety standards 22 <br />pertaining to electrical raceway systems. Provide raceway products and components that have been Listed 23 <br />and Labeled. 24 <br /> 25 <br />NEC Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of the latest edition of the NEC pertaining to 26 <br />construction and installation of raceway systems. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br />SUBMITTALS 30 <br /> 31 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 32 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Product Data: Submit manufacturer's technical product data, including specifications and installation instructions, for 35 <br />each type of raceway system required. Include data substantiating that materials comply with requirements. 36 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS 39 <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br />METAL CONDUIT AND TUBING 42 <br /> 43 <br />General: Provide metal conduit, tubing and fittings of types, grades, sizes and weights (wall thicknesses) for each 44 <br />use indicated. Where types and grades are not indicated, provide proper selection determined by Installer to fulfill 45 <br />wiring requirements as stated herein while complying with applicable portions of NEC for raceways. 46 <br /> 47 <br />Rigid Metal Conduit (RMC): Provide rigid steel, zinc-coated, threaded type conforming to ANSI C80.1 and 48 <br />UL 6. Provide zinc coating fused to inside and outside walls. 49 <br /> 50 <br />Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT): Provide electrical metallic conduit conforming to ANSI C80.3 and UL 797. 51 <br /> 52 <br />Flexible Metal Conduit (FMC): Provide steel flexible metal conduit conforming to UL 1. Conduit shall be 53 <br />formed from continuous length of spirally wound, interlocked zinc-coated strip steel. 54 <br /> 55 <br />Liquid-Tight Flexible Metal Conduit (LFMC): Provide flexible liquid-tight metal conduit constructed of single 56 <br />strip, flexible, continuous, interlocked, and double-wrapped steel.
