ORANGE COUNTY 260529-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Supporting Devices <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 260529 - SUPPORTING DEVICES 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 8 <br />Specification section, apply to work of this section. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 12 <br /> 13 <br />Manufacturers: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of supporting devices, of types, sizes, and ratings required. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Codes and Standards: 16 <br /> 17 <br />NEC Compliance: Comply with NEC requirements as applicable to construction and installation of electrical 18 <br />supporting devices. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Testing Laboratory Compliance: Provide electrical components that are Listed and Labeled. 21 <br /> 22 <br />ANSI Compliance: Comply with ANSI/MSS SP-69, Hangers and Supports – Selection and Application for 23 <br />selecting electrical supporting devices. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br />SUBMITTALS 27 <br /> 28 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 29 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Product Data: Submit manufacturer's data on supporting devices including catalog cuts, specifications, and 32 <br />installation instructions, for each type of support, anchor, sleeve and seal. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> 35 <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS 36 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br />MANUFACTURED SUPPORTING DEVICES 39 <br /> 40 <br />General: Provide supporting devices as herein specified which comply with manufacturer's standard materials, 41 <br />design and constructed in accordance with published product information and as required for complete installation. 42 <br />Where more than one type of supporting device meets indicated requirements, selection is Installer's option. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Supports: Provide supporting devices of types, sizes and materials indicated that have the following construction 45 <br />features: 46 <br /> 47 <br />Clevis Hangers: For supporting large rigid metal conduit hangers shall be steel with finish appropriate for 48 <br />application and 1/2" diameter hole for round steel rod. Approximate weight is 54 pounds per 100 units. 49 <br /> 50 <br />Reducing Couplings: Steel rod reducing coupling shall be 1/2", 3/8” or ¼” x 5/8" steel, with finish 51 <br />appropriate for application. 52 <br /> 53 <br />C-Clamps: C-clamps shall be ductile iron, with finish appropriate for application and 1/2", 3/8” or ¼” rod 54 <br />size. Approximate weight is 50 pounds per 100 units. 55 <br /> 56 <br />I-Beam Clamps: I-beam clamps shall be steel, with finish appropriate for application. 1-1/4" x 3/16" stock 57 <br />with 3/8" cross bolt.
