Hardware used for connections to enclosures shall include flat 6
washers and split lock washers. 7
8
Electrical Grounding Connection Accessories: Provide electrical insulating tape, bonding straps, as 9
recommended by accessories manufacturers for type service indicated. 10
11
12
PART 3 - EXECUTION 13
14
15
EXAMINATION 16
17
Examine areas and conditions under which electrical grounding and bonding connections are to be made and notify 18
A-E in writing of conditions detrimental to proper completion of work. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory 19
conditions have been corrected. 20
21
22
INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL GROUNDING AND BONDING SYSTEMS 23
24
General: Install electrical grounding and bonding systems as indicated, in accordance with manufacturer's 25
instructions and applicable portions of NEC, NECA's "Standard of Installation," and in accordance with recognized 26
industry practices to ensure that products comply with requirements. 27
28
Coordinate with other electrical work as necessary to interface installation of electrical grounding and bonding system 29
work with other work. 30
31
Connect together system neutral, service equipment enclosures, exposed noncurrent carrying metal parts of 32
electrical equipment, metal raceway systems, grounding conductor in raceways and cables, receptacle ground 33
connectors, and cold water systems. 34
35
Provide a separate, insulated equipment grounding conductor from each device to ground buses in panelboards. 36
Terminate each end on a grounding lug, bus, or insulated grounding bushing. 37
38
Provide separate insulated equipment grounding conductor, size to be determined from NEC Table 250.122, for each 39
circuit and in each conduit run. The grounding conductor shall be attached by means of a dedicated green screw to a 40
common point in each junction box, cabinet, device box, enclosure, or utilization equipment to which it runs or 41
through which it passes. Grounding methods depending on the continuity of electrical raceway, clips, or mounting 42
screws are not acceptable. This grounding requirement will be rigidly enforced. 43
44
Tighten grounding and bonding connectors and terminals, including screws and bolts, in accordance with 45
manufacturer's published torque tightening values for connectors and bolts. Where manufacturer's torquing 46
requirements are not indicated, tighten connections to comply with tightening torque values specified in UL 486A to 47
assure permanent and effective grounding. 48
49
Install clamp-on connectors on clean metal contact surfaces to ensure electrical conductivity and circuit integrity. 50
51
52
END OF SECTION 260526 53
DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
