ORANGE COUNTY 260526-1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Grounding <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 260526 - GROUNDING 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 8 <br />Specification sections, apply to work of this section. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 12 <br /> 13 <br />Manufacturer's Qualifications: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of grounding and bonding products, of types, 14 <br />and ratings required, and ancillary grounding materials, including stranded cable, grounding rods, and bonding 15 <br />jumpers whose products are Listed and Labeled for their intended usage. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Codes and Standards: 18 <br /> 19 <br />Electrical Code Compliance: Comply with applicable State electrical code requirements and the authority 20 <br />having jurisdiction, and NEC as applicable to electrical grounding and bonding, pertaining to systems, 21 <br />circuits and equipment. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Testing Laboratory Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of UL Standards No.'s 467, 24 <br />"Electrical Grounding and Bonding Equipment," and 869, "Electrical Service Equipment," pertaining to 25 <br />grounding and bonding of systems, circuits and equipment. In addition, comply with UL Std. 486A, "Wire 26 <br />Connectors and Soldering Lugs for Use with Copper Conductors." Provide grounding and bonding products 27 <br />that are Listed and Labeled for their intended usage. 28 <br /> 29 <br />IEEE Compliance: Comply with applicable requirements of IEEE Standard 142 and 241 pertaining to electrical 30 <br />grounding. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 33 <br />SUBMITTALS 34 <br /> 35 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 36 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Product Data: Submit manufacturer's data on grounding and bonding products and associated accessories. 39 <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br />GROUNDING AND BONDING SYSTEMS 45 <br /> 46 <br />Materials and Components: 47 <br /> 48 <br />General: Except as otherwise indicated, provide electrical grounding and bonding systems indicated, 49 <br />assemble materials, including, but not limited to, cables/wires, connectors, solderless lug terminals, 50 <br />grounding rods, bonding jumpers, service arresters, and additional accessories as needed for a complete 51 <br />installation. Where more than one type component product meets indicated requirements, selection is 52 <br />Contractor's option. Where materials or components are not indicated, provide products that comply with 53 <br />NEC and UL requirements and with established industry standards for those applications indicated. 54 <br /> 55 <br />Conductors: Unless otherwise indicated, provide equipment grounding conductors in all conduit and wiring 56 <br />systems.
