GFCI receptacles may not be used to protect downstream circuit components. 2 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br />TYPICAL MOUNTING HEIGHTS OF DEVICES 5 <br /> 6 <br />Typical mounting heights for electrical equipment shall be as follows unless otherwise noted on Drawings: 7 <br /> 8 <br />DEVICE MOUTING HEIGHT ABOVE FINISHED FLOOR (AFF) TO <br />Panelboards 6’-6” Top <br />Toggle Switches 3’-6” Center Line <br />Receptacles 1’-6” Center Line <br />Safety Switches 5’-6” Top <br /> 9 <br /> 10 <br />SCAFFOLDING, RIGGING, HOISTING 11 <br /> 12 <br />The Contractor shall furnish all scaffolding, rigging, hoisting and related sub-contract services necessary for 13 <br />equipment delivery and final placement as indicated on the Drawings. 14 <br /> 15 <br />All scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment shall be removed from the job site in a timely manner when such 16 <br />equipment is no longer required. 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br />EARTHWORK 20 <br /> 21 <br />Excavating and backfilling inside and outside the building shall include shoring and bracing, pumping and protection 22 <br />for safety of persons and property. Backfill shall be compacted in layers not exceeding 6" in depth. Completed 23 <br />backfill shall conform to surrounding ground and finish grade. Restore any sidewalks, roads, or existing work which is 24 <br />cut or damaged to "as found" conditions. Dispose of excess material in a manner approved by the A-E at no 25 <br />additional cost to the Owner. 26 <br /> 27 <br />The Drawings for this project show anticipated underground utilities at locations where they will not interfere with 28 <br />proposed construction. Information on the Drawings concerning existing utilities or other underground services is 29 <br />believed to be accurate and is presented in good faith. Exact locations for such services may be determined only by 30 <br />excavation; extreme caution shall be used with regard to trenching or excavation in the vicinity of underground 31 <br />services. In trenching or other excavation work always assume the presence of undocumented underground 32 <br />services. In the event underground services are damaged by the Contractor the Contractor shall repair same in a 33 <br />manner satisfactory to the A-E at no additional cost to the Owner. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br />ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS 37 <br /> 38 <br />Circuit designations and connections are shown on the Drawings. Indicated circuit numbers and circuit breaker 39 <br />positions are mandatory unless changes are specifically approved by the A-E in writing. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Electrical neutral connections are indicated on the Drawings. Neutrals may not be reconfigured or otherwise changed 42 <br />without specific approval in writing from the A-E. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Request for circuit or neutral changes can not be a part of the equipment submittal process. 45 <br /> 46 <br /> 47 <br />EQUIPMENT CONNECTIONS 48 <br /> 49 <br />In general, provide complete electrical power supply system connections to all equipment shown on Drawings.
