ORANGE COUNTY 260500-3 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Basic Electrical Requirements <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Scaled Shop Drawings: If so directed by the A-E, the Contractor shall prepare composite working drawings 1 <br />and sections at a suitable scale not less than 3/8"=1'-0", clearly showing how his work is to be installed in 2 <br />relation to the work of other trades. 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />All systems shall be installed so as to operate in a safe manner; all moving parts shall be covered where there is any 8 <br />possibility of danger from such moving parts. All rough edges of equipment and materials shall be made smooth. 9 <br /> 10 <br />All safety controls shall be checked under the supervision of the Owner's representative and two (2) copies of test 11 <br />data showing setting and performance of safety controls shall be submitted to the A-E by the Contractor. 12 <br /> 13 <br />During the construction the Contractor shall keep the site reasonably clean of debris and upon completion of 14 <br />construction he shall clean up the premises to remove all evidence of his work. The Contractor shall provide, at no 15 <br />additional cost to the Owner, additional cleaning of the site as directed by the Owner. In addition, upon completion of 16 <br />construction, he shall clean, wash and/or polish all fixtures, equipment and exposed material and leave each item 17 <br />clean, bright, and without blemish. Damaged items shall be replaced or repaired in a manner satisfactory to the 18 <br />Owner by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. 19 <br /> 20 <br />It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to maintain a safe working environment at all times and to comply with 21 <br />all OSHA regulations for the duration of the project. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br />SUBMITTALS 25 <br /> 26 <br />Submittals shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of Section 019913. Specific submittal 27 <br />requirements are defined in each section of this Division. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Manufacturer's Data: Submit manufacturer's technical product data. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />NAMEPLATE DATA 33 <br /> 34 <br />Each item of electrical utilization equipment shall be provided with a permanent operational data nameplate that shall, 35 <br />as a minimum, indicate the following: equipment manufacturer, product name, model number, serial number, 36 <br />capacity, voltage requirements, and either full load current or full load volt-amperes. Labels of tested compliances 37 <br />and similar essential data shall be a part of this label or located nearby. All equipment nameplates shall be in an 38 <br />accessible location. 39 <br /> 40 <br />In the event that the installation of equipment renders the manufacturer's nameplate inaccessible, the above 41 <br />information shall be etched onto a laminated plastic nameplate securely fastened to the equipment by no less than 42 <br />two machine screws or by other fastening methods approved by the A-E. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 <br />FLASH PROTECTION WARNING 46 <br /> 47 <br />Each piece of new electrical equipment, such as switchboards, parallel switchgear, panelboards, circuit breaker 48 <br />enclosures, control panels, motor control centers, transfer switches, etc. that are likely to require examination, 49 <br />adjustment, servicing or maintenance while energized, shall be field marked in a clearly visible location on the 50 <br />equipment enclosure to warn qualified persons of potential electric arc flash hazards, in accordance with NEC 51 <br />110.16. 52 <br /> 53 <br />54 <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
