The Contractor is 11
urged to coordinate all such activities with the Owner or the local electric utility so that electrical equipment may be 12
de-energized as required to safely perform necessary construction activities as defined in the Drawings and 13
Specifications. Suitable OSHA approved lockout-tagout procedures shall be used when circuits or equipment have 14
been de-energized for the purpose of performing construction activities. All work practices related to worker safety 15
are the complete responsibility of the Contractor. 16
17
18
DUTIES OF CONTRACTOR 19
20
The Drawings are generally diagrammatic in nature and are neither intended to show each fitting, box, elbow, offset, 21
hanger, etc., nor a complete detail of all work to be done. The Drawings are for the purpose of illustrating the type of 22
system, showing raceway sizes, etc., and special conditions considered necessary for the experienced mechanic to 23
take off materials and lay out work. This Contractor shall be responsible for taking such measurement as may be 24
necessary at the job and adapting his work to local conditions. 25
26
Contractor shall furnish and install all materials called for or reasonably implied in these Specifications and 27
accompanying Drawings. Apparatus must be furnished complete and ready for operation in every respect. Materials 28
and equipment called for in the Specifications and not indicated on the Drawings, or indicated on the Drawings and 29
not called for in the Specifications, shall be furnished by the Contractor. 30
31
Contractor is responsible for familiarizing himself with the project area and details of the construction of building. 32
Work performed under these Specifications that is installed improperly or which requires modification due to improper 33
reading or interpretation of building plans shall be corrected or otherwise modified as directed by the A-E without 34
additional cost to the Owner. 35
36
Contractor shall follow Drawings in laying out work and shall refer to drawings of other trades to verify exact spaces in 37
which work will be installed. Arrange installed items in such a manner as to maintain maximum headroom and space 38
conditions at all points. Where headroom or space conditions appear inadequate, A-E shall be notified before 39
proceeding with installation. 40
41
42
INSPECTIONS 43
44
The contractor shall notify the office of the local Authority Having Jurisdiction, to schedule required 45
inspections. This shall include all inspections of concealed work, interior and exterior, as well as intermediate 46
and final reviews. 47
48
COOPERATION WITH OTHER TRADES 49
50
The Contractor shall give full cooperation to other trades and shall furnish any and all information necessary to permit 51
the work of other trades. Information to be provided by the Contractor includes, but is not limited to templates, 52
patterns, setting plans, and shop details as may be necessary for the proper installation of work and for the purpose 53
of coordinating adjacent work. Information required by other trades shall be provided in a timely manner and shall be 54
sufficient to allow the work of such other trades to proceed with the least possible interference or delay. 55
56
Where the work of the Contractor will be installed in close proximity to, or may interfere with work of other trades, the 57
Contractor shall assist in working out space conditions to make a satisfactory adjustment. If the Contractor installs 58
his work before coordination with other trades, he shall make the necessary changes in his work to correct 59
the condition without extra charge. 60
61
DocuSign Envelope ID: 7668B866-6C26-485C-9A45-DAAB5D4BD951
