ORANGE COUNTY 019916 - 1 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Warehouse Building Dehumidification Divisions 23 and 26 <br /> Work in Existing Buildings <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 019916 - DIVISIONS 23 AND 26 WORK IN EXISTING BUILDINGS 1 <br /> 2 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS 6 <br /> 7 <br />Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other 8 <br />Division 01 Specification sections, apply to this section. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br />SUMMARY 12 <br /> 13 <br />Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other 14 <br />Division 01 Specification sections, apply to this section. 15 <br /> 16 <br />The requirements specified herein shall govern all Sections in Divisions 23 and 26, whether stated therein or 17 <br />not. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Where items specified in the other sections of this Division conflict with requirements of this Section, the former shall 20 <br />govern. 21 <br /> 22 <br />DEFINITIONS 23 <br /> 24 <br />Remove: Detach items from existing construction and legally dispose of them off-site unless indicated to be removed 25 <br />and salvaged or removed and reinstalled. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Remove and Salvage: Carefully detach from existing construction, in a manner to prevent damage, and deliver to 28 <br />Owner. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Remove and Reinstall: Detach items from existing construction, prepare for reuse, and reinstall where indicated. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Existing to Remain: Existing items of construction that are not to be permanently removed and that are not otherwise 33 <br />indicated to be removed, removed and salvaged, or removed and reinstalled. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br />MATERIALS OWNERSHIP 37 <br /> 38 <br />Unless otherwise indicated, demolition waste becomes property of Contractor. Materials removed during demolition 39 <br />shall be accumulated in the demolition area for examination by the Owner. The Owner may choose to retain selected 40 <br />items. Items not selected to be retained by the Owner become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed 41 <br />from the site in a timely manner. All disposal fees and/or permits shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE 45 <br /> 46 <br />Refrigerant Recovery Technician Qualifications: Certified by an EPA-approved Section 608 certification program. 47 <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br />FIELD CONDITIONS 50 <br /> 51 <br />Existing facilities shall remain in use during all phases of construction under this Contract. All and any of existing 52 <br />building safeties such as exit signage, exit lights, fire alarm, fire sprinkler etc., must remain operational 53 <br />CONTINUOUSLY in order to retain building occupancy status. All required exits and exit signs must be kept 54 <br />available and free of obstruction at all times.
