Equity Audit/Strategic Plan Development <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Dr. Hamlett said the strategic plan expired in December of 2021, but they have been <br /> 6 given permission to slow down and restart the process. She said they are working with a partner <br /> 7 called Insight Education Group. She said they worked through an equity audit that consisted of <br /> 8 focus groups and a deep dive into data review. She said they concluded that part of the work on <br /> 9 February 11 and that the draft results will be available in early March 2022. She said those <br /> 10 results will inform action steps. She said a steering committee plays a critical role in drafting the <br /> 11 strategic plan and developing core values, mission, and vision. She said that they are meeting <br /> 12 with community stakeholder groups. She said the Board has been doing work on the mission <br /> 13 and vision. She said they will continue to work with the partners and the strategic steering <br /> 14 committee. INSPIRE. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Dr. Felder said equity and education is at the core of everything they do in Orange <br /> 23 County Schools. She said in Winter 2021, the district commissioned an equity assessment to <br /> 24 evaluate the district's overall academic program, policies and practices. She said that was <br /> 25 Phase 1. She said the next phase will focus on the district's budget and finances. She said the <br /> 26 methodology included a staff and student survey, focus groups, and a review of artifacts. <br /> 27 Slide #3 <br />
