Please briefly describe the proposed program and the target population to benefit from the <br />program. (100 words or less) <br /> <br />This project will replace 48 metal halide light fixtures at the Cedar Falls Park multipurpose <br />fields with 40 LED fixtures. The LEDs will save 38,850 kilowatt hours of electricity and more <br />than $97,150 in utilities over their useful life (25 years). This will result in a savings of 220 <br />metric tons of CO2e. The main beneficiaries of the project are Town residents, as well as <br />multipurpose field users. Residents will benefit from a reduced, long-term impact on operating <br />expenses (lower tax burden) associated with lighting and fixture maintenance. Park users will <br />also benefit from higher quality, more reliable lighting. <br /> <br />8.
