Orange Comity has identified the need for increased economic developmem opportunities for <br />low and moderetc-incerm citizens and revitalization of businesses serving low-income <br />neighborhwds in Chapel Hill. <br />Anti-Poverty Strategy <br />In a recent adding to the County's Work First Plan, a subcommittee of fire Welfare Reform Task <br />Force, 8nempherdng Imetemd ..o vas charged with identifying strategies and crour es for <br />Work First families that will enable them to oreacce them income and to become self-sufficient <br />As u pan of their work, this committee occupied the lack ofetrordable housing fur those in the <br />lowest income ranges as a major impediment to building sellsufticiency.
