Young, DEAPR Communications Manager, said that she would reach out to the Orange <br /> County graphic designer to create marketing to promote the PRC advisory board. <br /> New Business: <br /> b. Propose Youth Delegate Proposal/Memo-After a discussion of the draft proposal for a <br /> non-voting youth delegate member, Tippin moved to accept the proposal and Vice Chair <br /> Xilong Zhao seconded the motion. The council approved the draft proposal unanimously <br /> to be sent to the BOCC. <br /> Old Business: <br /> a. Potential Mini-Park Proposal— Stancil provided an overview of a mini park idea in the <br /> Perry Hills community on a two acre lot owned by Orange County. The potential park <br /> would be located along Lancaster and Frazier Road in the western part of the county. He <br /> explained that this will go forward as a possible addition to the Capital Investment Plan <br /> (CIP), per conversations with the BOCC, community members and the county manager. <br /> Report of the Director- <br /> a. Project/Program Updates- Outside Agency Applications- Stancil gave a summary of <br /> the process advisory boards use to score proposals from Outside Agency for funding <br /> from the county. He asked for ideas from the council on how the board would like to <br /> review the applications, since there are a total of five agency applications. The members <br /> decided to have applications be sent prior to the March meeting to review and score on <br /> their own, then come to the meeting prepared to discuss their individual scores. Orange <br /> County Trails Plan- Stancil stated that there are plans being formulated to create a <br /> county trails or countywide bike pedestrian and trials plan in fiscal year 2022/2023, <br /> possibly in fall 2022. <br /> b. March 2 Meeting Agenda Items—Outside Agency scoring, Chair election, vacancies <br /> outreach. <br /> Council and Committee Reports: <br /> a. Intergovernmental Parks Work Group (next mtg April 13) <br /> b. Items from the Council-None <br /> c. Friends of Orange County Parks and Recreation (FOPR)—No meeting was held the <br /> previous month. Reyman said she would give a full report at the April meeting and <br /> solicited new members. <br /> Next Meeting: March 2, 6:30 pm. <br /> Adjournment: Chair Greeson adjourned meeting at 8:12pm. <br />
