4
It is important to note that the Conditional Use Permit application will require
substantial detail on the construction to be undertaken. Same of the materials
that must be submitted as part of the application will require that detailed
construction drawings be prepared for part or all of Phase I. These materials will
require substantial staff (or contract) resources. It is estimated that the
preparation of the Conditional Use Permit application to Carrboro will take
approximately three months once the Board has approved the first phase to be
submitted.
Additionally, the Town will require submittal of the Master Plan in order to be able
to evaluate Phase I of the project. While there is no requirement for approval of
the Master Plan, it will be needed for consideration of the applications for each
phase.
Staff has held several meetings with Town staff to review the approval process.
When the Board is ready to proceed with construction of phase I of the park, and
the application to Carrboro, steps needed to set that in motion would be:
• General agreement on the layout of the Master Plan for the park, and
• Approval of a Phasing Plan (especially Phase I)
Once these steps are completed, staff (or a consultant) can prepare the materials
for the application and have a complete application submitted in approximately
three months. The attached schedule shows the projected timetable if such
actions were to occur by February, 2004.
Attachments
Evi./ir0/ti~Elmt Ctoul RCSOUYCC COViSEY/aPiov~
7>O 80.K kY&Y ~ 306-A 2C/CYC PpGld
HiCC56pY0uLJh, NC 2j-2T3
(y~l sas-2.s~o
