She said that <br /> law enforcement and the schools should be included and suggested that public comment be <br /> allowed by waiving the rules about comment during work sessions. <br /> Commissioner McKee agreed with running it through as a work session with law <br /> enforcement and the schools. <br /> Commissioner Hamilton said she also agrees with that and the Sheriff and schools <br /> being present at the work session. She asked about how to allow public input without waiving <br /> the rules for public comment at work sessions. <br /> 8. Consent Agenda <br /> • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> Commissioner Greene noted that one of the budget adjustments is financial support <br /> from the Town of Chapel Hill that is supporting the Street Outreach, Harm and Reduction <br /> Deflection (SOHRAD) team by adding another member. Minutes <br /> The Board approved minutes from the January 18, 2022 Board of County Commissioners <br /> meeting. <br /> b. Refund of Overpayment of Excise Tax <br /> The Board approved a refund of overpayment of excise tax of$406 to the Canaday Law Firm. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release property tax values for five taxpayers with a total of <br /> eight bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board considered four untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for four bills for the 2021 tax year. <br /> e. Request for Road Additions to the State Maintained Secondary Road System for <br /> Folsom Court and Weldon Ridge Drive in the Weldon Ridge Subdivision <br /> The Board forwarded the Petition for Addition to the State Maintained System to the NCDOT for <br /> Folsom Court and Weldon Ridge Drive in the Weldon Ridge Subdivision; and recommended <br /> the Department of Transportation accept the roads for maintenance as State Secondary Roads. <br /> f. Construction Contract for High Rock Road Waste and Recycling Center Renovation <br /> The Board approved and authorized the County Manager to sign a contract with Bar <br /> Construction Company, Inc. for the renovation of the Orange County High Rock Road Waste <br /> and Recycling Center. <br /> g. Fiscal Year 2021-22 Budget Amendment#7 <br /> The Board approved a budget amendment for Fiscal Year 2021-22. <br />
