It appears to be a little low on refrigerant and have a faulty crankcase heater. The
good news is that the compressor seems fine.
February 14, 2022
Unit Check Out:
Heat Strips working correctly
Heat Wheel operating correctly
Exhaust fan Controlling and Working Correctly
Crankcase Heater—Not Energizing or Working, Causing Noise and in the Compressor on Cold Start-
Ups. Crankcase Heater needs to be replaced.
Compressor on Circuit One is Tripping on Low Suction—Charge appears to be low.
Compressor on Circuit Two is operating at the low end of suction pressure.
Both Refrigeration Circuits appear to be low on Refrigerant. Remaining Refrigerant needs to be removed and
weighed and then reinstalled to the correct capacity.
Thanks,
JOHN BEAIRD, PE I Insight Partners
() 0
1
