<br />Shall there be levied and collected with the area constitu-
<br />ing the Chapel Hill School District an additional special
<br />tax, over and above the present 20? per hundred dollar
<br />property valuation special tax now in effect, increasing
<br />said 20? per hundred dollar valuation special tax to not
<br />exceed 35? per hundred dollar property valuation within
<br />said area, to further supplement the current expense funds
<br />from State and County allotments and thereby operate schools
<br />of the Chapel Hill Administrative Unit within the Chapel Hill
<br />School District of.a higher standard by supplementing any
<br />item of expenditure in the school budget?
<br />Instructions
<br />1. To vote "YES" make a cross '(X) mark in the square to
<br />the right of the word "YES".
<br />2. To vote "NO" make a cross (X) mark in the square to
<br />the right of the word "NO".
<br />3. If you tear or deface or wrongly mark this ballot
<br />return it and get another.
<br />YES -FOR local tax.
<br />NO AGAINST local tax.
<br />Commissioner Bennett seconded the motion to adopt said resolution, and after
<br />discussion, said resolution was put to a vote and unanimously adopted. All members
<br />of the Board present voted for the adoption thereof.
<br />Mrs,. Richmond Bond, representing the Chanel Hill Library Board, presented e
<br />brief report concerning the activities of the Chapel Hill Library and requested
<br />permission to present to the Board a budgetary reque"at from the Chapel Hill Library
<br />Unit.
<br />Mrs. Bond was requested to contact the County Accountant in May concerning a
<br />suitable date for this presentation.
