<br />High Rock Road Waste & Recycling Center Improvements R00592-213N <br />Orange Count, North Carolina JULY 2021 <br />BF-4 <br /> <br />per the standard detail on Sheet <br /> <br />5. AGGREGATE BASE COURSE: This work shall consist of furnishing all <br /> materials, labor, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to construct <br /> aggregate roads and other areas. Work to include prepared surface and <br /> aggregate. Payment for this item shall be made on a unit price. Basis <br /> wherein measurement will be made by survey. <br /> <br />6. SEEDING: This Work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, <br />and appurtenances to provide temporary & permanent seeding to those <br />areas located outside of the limits of construction designated on the <br />Drawings. Areas must be approved by the Engineer. Payment for this item <br />shall be made on a unit price basis, wherein measurement will be made by <br />survey. <br /> <br />7. GROUNDWATER COLLECTION TRENCHES: This Work consists of <br />furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to <br />install collection trenches (2 'x2') as needed. The item is intended to be <br />used in the event "wet" areas occur within the subgrade. Work to include <br />excavation, placement of washed crushed stone (NCDOT No. 57 or 67) <br />encased in a 4 oz non-woven geotextile filter fabric. Any damage caused to <br />the prepared subgrade during the completion of this work under this item, <br />including but not limited to, rutting, tracking, or movement of soil shall be <br />repaired by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. Payment for <br />this item shall be made on a unit price basis wherein measurement will be <br />made. <br /> <br />8. ROCK REMOVAL: This work shall consist of furnishing all materials, <br /> labor, equipment and appurtenances necessary to complete the removal of <br /> unwanted rock by means of hoe ram equipment. Rock is defined as natural <br /> material that cannot be moved or ripped with a Caterpillar D8 equipped <br /> with a single tooth ripper or approved equal. A demonstration may be <br /> required. Rock shall be removed from rock surface to 1 foot below <br /> proposed sub grade. The destination of the removed rock will be directed <br /> by Owner. Payment for this item shall be made on a unit price basis <br /> wherein measurement will be made. <br /> <br />9. Jack & Bore 6” Sewer Service: This Work consists of furnishing all <br />materials, labor, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to install of a 6” <br />PVC Sewer Service in a 12” Steel Casing. Assume the minimum length of <br />the bore will be 45 linear feet. Payment for this item shall be made on a <br />unit price basis wherein measurement will be made. <br /> <br /> <br />UNIT COST DEVIATIONS <br /> <br />The Contractor is responsible for providing Unit Prices consistent with typical industry norms for the <br />Work described. Unit Prices which appear inconsistent with typical prices for similar Work shall be <br />justified by the Contractor at the request of the Engineer.
