ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />Orange County Solid Waste <br />Orange County, North Carolina <br />HIGH ROCK ROAD WASTE AND RECYCLING CENTER IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />General Notice: <br />Sealed proposals will be received until Thursday January 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the office of Orange County <br />Solid Waste Operations Center located at 1207 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27516 Attn: <br />Orange County Finance Purchasing for the construction of the following Project Bid No. 367-OC5338: High <br />Rock Road Waste and Recycling Center Improvements. DAA PN: R00592-213N. Bids will be publicly opened <br />and read at 1207 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27516. <br /> <br />The Project includes the following Work: Work generally includes construction of recycle center, and ADA <br />compliant bathroom, well and potable water system, septic system, installation of three compactors, paving, <br />landscaping and all other work and appurtenances as shown on the construction drawings. <br /> <br />Obtaining the Bidding Documents: Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the <br />following designated website: www.daa.com - click on "PLANROOM" <br />Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to <br />register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan <br />room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated <br />website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other <br />information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All questions are to be directed to sgandy@daa.com <br />and must be submitted at least three business days prior to the bid date to be considered. All official <br />notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. In <br />addition, the Project Manual and any addendums will be posted to the Orange County website <br />https://www.co.orange.nc.us/Bids.aspx . Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding <br />Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated websites. <br /> <br />The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Draper Aden Associates, 114 Edinburgh South Drive, Suite <br />200 Cary, North Carolina 27511. <br />Pre-bid Conference: A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday December <br />15th 2021 at 10:00 am on site 7001 High Rock Road Efland NC. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that <br />do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. <br />Current County Covid 19 polices will be in effect. All attendees are required to have an acceptable face <br />covering in place for the meeting and abide by social distancing.
