<br /> <br />High Rock Road Waste & Recycling Center Improvements 33 44 00 - 1 <br />Orange County Solid Waste JULY 2021 <br />DAA PN R00592-213N <br /> <br />SECTION 33 44 00 ± STORM DRAINAGE <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED <br />Provide personnel, materials, equipment, and supplies to install storm sewerage <br />system as shown on the Drawings. <br />1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Section 31 20 00; Earthwork <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />Comply with all applicable codes and regulations as required by regulatory <br />agencies having jurisdiction over this Work. Comply with all pertinent <br />requirements of the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standards and <br />Specifications, latest editions. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />Shop drawings and product data for pipe and appurtenances. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE <br />A. Reinforced concrete pipe shall conform to NCDOT Standards and <br />Specifications, latest edition. <br />B. Sizes of storm sewer pipe shall be as indicated on the Drawings. <br />2.02 PLASTIC PIPE <br />A. Pipe Requirements: All plastic pipe shall meet the requirements of <br />AASHTO M294 Type S. The pipe shall have a smooth interior and <br />annular-FRUUXJDWHGH[WHULRU0DQQLQJ¶V³Q´YDOX <br />not exceed 0.010. <br />B. Joint Performance: <br />1. Pipe shall be joined with the bell-and-spigot joint meeting the <br />requirements off AASHTO M294. The bell shall be an integral part of the <br />pipe and provide a minimum pull-apart strength of 400 lbs. <br />2. The bell-and-spigot joint shall incorporate a gasket making it silt- <br />tight.
