SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> <br />High Rock Waste & Recycling Center Improvements SC - 8 <br />Orange County, North Carolina JULY 2021 <br />DAA PN R00592-213N <br /> <br />S - 27 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />27.1 All contract prices included in Bid Form will be full compensation for all labor, materials, <br />tools, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as shown on the <br />Drawings and specified in the Contract Documents to be performed under this Contract. <br /> <br />27.2 Unless identified in the bid, no direct or separate payment will be made for providing <br />miscellaneous temporary or accessory works, services, field offices, layout surveys, job <br />signs, sanitary requirements, testing, safety devices, approval and record drawings, <br />water supplies, power, maintaining traffic, removal of waste, watchmen, bonds, <br />insurance, mobilization, demobilization and all other requirements of the General <br />Conditions. Compensation for all such services, equipment and materials shall be <br />included in the prices stipulated for the lump sum and unit pay items listed herein. <br /> <br />27.3 Each lump sum and unit bid price will be deemed to include an amount considered by <br />&RQWUDFWRUWREHDGHTXDWHWRFRYHU&RQWUDFWRU¶V <br />identified item. <br /> <br />27.4 Restoration is not a separate pay item but is considered to be an integral part of the <br />work under this contract, and all contract bid prices include the cost of restoration <br />necessitated by the work related to that bid item. Cleanup is an integral part of <br />restoration. <br /> <br />S - 28 APPLICATIONS FOR PAYMENT <br /> <br />28.1 Submit Applications for Payment to the Engineer in accordance with the schedule <br />established by Conditions of the Contract and Agreement between Owner and <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />A. The accepted Schedule of Values shall be used as the basis fRUWKH&RQWUDFW <br />Application for Payment. <br /> <br />B. All Applications for Payment are subject to a 5% retainage to be held until the <br />end of the project or until the Certificate of Substantial Completion is enacted. <br /> <br />28.2 Submit application typed on forms provided at the end of this Section or Approved <br />Equivalent, with itemized data type on 8½-in by 11-in white paper continuation sheets. <br />The form provided at the end of this Section is only a guide. A specialized form may be <br />developed due to the nature of this project. <br /> <br />Provide itemized data on continuation sheet: <br /> <br />A. Format, schedules, line items and values: Those of the Schedule of Values <br />accepted by the Engineer. <br /> <br />B.
