Tasks include
development of gas management programs, design, bidding, and installation of active
gas collection systems, evaluation of monitoring results, interfacing with regulatory
agencies, and the development and implementation of remediation plans to prevent
the migration of methane gas off-site.
Bedford County Landfill No. 1, Bedford County, VA: Design, bidding, installation
and operation of an active gas collection system successful in preventing gas
migration. System consists of 41 collection wells, approximately 5,825 LF of HDPE
piping, and a 70 to 700 SCFM blower/flare station.
Henrico County, Richmond, Virginia: Expansion of landfill gas recovery and
collections system, operations and optimization of system.
Smyth County Landfill, Smyth County, VA: Development and implementation of
a gas remediation plan. Design, procurement and installation of a 30 to 250 scfm
blower flare station. Operating, monitoring and adjusting the active gas extraction
system.
Washington County Landfill, Washington County, VA: Implementation and
coordination of a gas remediation plan involving the relocation of gas probes and
design, installation and operation of an active gas collection system for migration
control. System consists of nine active wells including one pulling from bedrock
voids, about 2,025 LF of HDPE and PVC piping, and two separate blowers.
Harrisonburg Landfill, City of Harrisonburg, VA: Developed, procured and
started up a portable gas extraction testing system used to evaluate the
effectiveness of active gas collection at the landfill. Assisted in the design, start-
up and balancing of permnent active gas collection system that is successful in
preventing gas migration.
Augusta Regional Landfill, Augusta County, VA: New Source Review Air Permit
Application for expansion of the landfill.
