Engineering Surveying Environmental Services <br />Draper Aden Associates <br />Section Two <br />Experience <br />11 <br />• Coordination with Blue Source, the County’s carbon credit sales consultant <br />• Evaluation of PPEA proposals for LFG utilization <br />• Evaluation of small scale LFG utilization options <br />• Assistance with operational issues relative to the gas recovery system <br />• Assistance with the installation of solar utility flare / blower – flare at the landfill pump stations <br />Construction and CQA Services <br />• Construction phase services (including CQC / CQA and <br />surveying) for: <br />• Livingston landfill #1 double lined cell <br />• Livingston landfill #2 – Subtitle D cells 1 through 5 <br />• Closures of 4 landfills <br />• Partial closure of Livingston landfill #2 <br />Environmental and Groundwater Services <br />Draper Aden Associates developed and managed the groundwater monitoring program for five landfill facilities. <br />A wide variety of services have been provided that encompass the entirety of Virginia’s solid waste program, <br />from routine Detection Monitoring, to Corrective Action. Through successful management of the County’s <br />program and proactive attention to environmental impacts and protection of nearby residents, the County has <br />developed an excellent relationship with the Virginia DEQ, and has resulted in significant cost savings. Services <br />have included: <br />• Development of the groundwater monitoring programs for all five landfills <br />• Alternate source demonstrations for several facilities and constituents <br />• Nature and extent studies <br />• Assessment of corrective measures, and development of corrective action plans <br />• Strategically placed active remediation system – successful.
