The Orange County Emergency Services Department has received additional grant funds <br /> totaling $36,150 from the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety related to <br /> the Emergency Management Performance Grant awards. The department plans to use <br /> these funds to assist in maintaining the comprehensive Emergency Management Program. <br /> Specifically, these funds will go towards contract services to revise the Orange County <br /> Emergency Operations Plan, training and education to support of emergency management <br /> and response personnel, and equipment acquisition to address response gaps. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these grant funds, and amends the following <br /> grant project ordinance: <br />
