The Department on Aging has received the following additional funds: <br /> • Supplemental Nutrition - Additional Supplemental Nutrition funding of$57,265 <br /> from North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to meet <br /> additional need for food and supplies for the Lunch Program. This program <br /> provides food to families in need in the community impacted by COVID-19 and <br /> job loss. This amendment increases the COVID-19 Expanded Lunch program <br /> budget by $57,265. <br /> • State Appropriation for Senior Centers - State grant funding through Triangle <br /> J Area Agency of $21,386 to support Senior Center activities. The grant period <br /> runs through June 30, 2022. <br /> • Evidence Base Health Promotion and Disease Prevention - Additional Title <br /> III D Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP) funding of $2,220 <br /> received from Triangle J Area Agency on Aging to provide evidence-based <br /> classes and programs. <br />
