6 <br /> Reasons Want to Serve Board#1 <br /> I am currently retired, I will have to time to dedicate to community activities. I would like to serve of this <br /> board because I feel that it is important that we give our senior citizens all of the support they need and <br /> also anticipate needs that they do not recognize.As I stated above, my mother passed at101 years old <br /> and she remained in her home and was able to die in her own bed. <br /> Diversity of Viewpoints Board #1 <br /> Not only being a senior myself, but having a mother who is elderly, I can bring a unique viewpoint to the <br /> board from the caregivers side. Recognizing that many seniors/elderly do not have access to information, <br /> often a caregiver has to step in and help. <br /> Conflict of Interest Board #1 <br /> None <br /> Relevant Experience Board #2 <br /> 1 grew up in Cambridge MA, where I witnessed the growth of a small town outside of Boston.There are a <br /> lot of lesson's learned from that experience. I am now on the Hillsborough Water and Sewer Advisory <br /> Board and the Orange County Affordable Housing Board. I am a member of our communities Home <br /> Owner's Association Board as well as the Architectural Board. <br /> Reasons Want to Serve Board#2 <br /> 1 am very interested in keeping Orange County a pleasant place to live for everyone and work on keeping <br /> it affordable and diverse. <br /> Diversity of Viewpoints Board #2 <br /> As a Black woman who went from living in a professional middle-class family to being a single mother, <br /> and living in public housing.
