18 <br /> INTRODUCTION: REPORT PREPARATION AND REVIEW <br /> This report has been prepared by the Orange County BHTF Crisis/Diversion Facility Subcommittee. <br /> The report puts forth the Subcommittee's recommendation for an Orange County Facility and provides a summary of the research and <br /> assessment work used to reach its recommendations. <br /> These recommendations have been presented to and reviewed by several advisory and public interest groups operating in Orange County <br /> including: <br /> Orange County Behavioral Health Task Force (BHTF).January 20,2021. <br /> Orange County Justice Advisory Council QAC). February 12,2021. <br /> Chiefs of Police and Orange County Sheriff. March 24,2021. <br /> Comments and edits provided during these discussions have been incorporated into this version of the BHTF's report for the Orange County <br /> Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). <br /> Pursuant to guidance from the BOCC,these recommendations will provide a basis for more detailed planning including design of Facility space, <br /> staffing, licensing,governance, policies and procedures,budget,and funding. <br /> 5 <br />
