Development of a lifecycle sustainment plan provides a roadmap for anticipating and <br /> implementing actions to address obsolescence and support limitations. A well developed lifecycle <br /> sustainment plan provides these benefits: <br /> 1. Operations sustainment: Ability to maintain highest level of performance and <br /> functionality of system operations. <br /> 2. Network security and information assurance: Protection against system vulnerabilities <br /> that may compromise network security and confidential information. Compliance to these <br /> security requirements (MIST 800-53, NENA NG911, DHS 4300, DOD 8500.2, etc). <br /> 3. Support for growth and expansion: Ability to add users, channels and features; expand <br /> system coverage and capabilities and/or add-on new agencies. <br /> 4. Fiscal stability: Planned fiscal approach for system maintenance mitigating risk of <br /> unplanned expenses. Inability to fund required maintenance services can result in <br /> degradation of operation. <br /> 5. CapEx Return on Investment (ROI): Protection against premature deterioration and <br /> obsolescence and extension of the system lifespan, thereby reducing the total cost of <br /> ownership. <br /> 1.2 SYSTEM UPGRADE <br /> AGREEMENT III <br /> In order to keep your LMR system current we offer the System Upgrade Agreement III(SUA IIII). <br /> This is a complete package of hardware, software,and professional services required to update the <br /> ASTRO 25 system,up to once in a three-year period,to a level consistent with the currently <br /> supported release under the Motorola Software Support Program. <br /> Updates to software (and occasionally)hardware components ensure ongoing availability of repair <br /> services support, system expansion(e.g. addition of RF sites,dispatch positions,data sub-systems, or <br /> network management positions), and the latest cyber security protection. The SUA III provides a <br /> consistent,budgeted solution that delivers complete update coverage while transferring risk <br /> associated with integrating future(unknown today)technology to Motorola. <br /> Included features <br /> Features Descriptions <br /> Platform Release— (New System Release) Ex.
