PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARING: <br />We are glad to have this opportunity to hear from the citizens of Orange County <br />on the potential impacts of a possible school merger and we hope that as many <br />as possible will be able to speak within the time allotted. <br />• Courtroom will not be available to the general public until 6:30 p.m. <br />• The Public Comment Sign Up will begin at 6:34 p.m. <br />• The Sign up area will have several sign up sheets {please print legibly}, as <br />well as informational handouts: <br />- PowerPoint presentation <br />- Question/Comment Cards <br />• Speakers may only sign-up far themselves, to insure speakers are <br />present. <br />The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3-minutes/per speaker. <br />• Please: We ask that you do not yield speaking times (in order far the <br />County Commissioners to be able to hear from as many citizens as <br />possible} <br />• In case you do not have the opportunity to speak at the Public Hearing, <br />you are invited and encouraged to fill out and submit the orange <br />question/comment card at the sign up tables. This information will be <br />reviewed by staff/Commissioners and efforts will be made to develop and <br />post responses to the most commonly asked questions. Staff will also <br />prepare a compilation of all the comments received on the orange cards <br />and make this available to the public. <br />• A copy of the September 15th Staff report "An Analysis of Potential <br />Impacts Resulting from a Possible School Merger" is available on the <br />county's website at www.co.orange.nc.uslschoolmergerlindex.htm <br />• The Commissioners will be glad to provide a speaker and/or presentation <br />for your grouplorganization on the "Potential Impacts of a Possible School <br />Merger". <br />Please send your written request (no emails} to: <br />Clerk to the Board <br />County Commissioners Office <br />P.O.
