In some instances, the contents will be bunched, sealed out of the chamber by
using 6-mil poly, in other instances the contents may remain in place. This is all
dependent of circumstances encountered during the remediation. (Special Attention:
Per ESG sampling protocols, it is typical that dusts, particles, and spores settle and do
not work their way into closed or sealed containers. Insides of sealed boxes, file
cabinets, desks, plastic totes, and like items will not be addressed)
• Glue down floor coverings will be HEPA vacuumed for gross contaminate removal,
cleaned by an IICRC certified carpet cleaning technician, dried, and sealed out by using
carpet mask.
• Detailed damp wiping/scrubbing/treating with Benefect decon-30, the preferred
antimicrobial will be used. This will include all surfaces and the exterior of any contents
that remain.
• Final light or once over HEPA vacuuming to complete the HEPA sandwich.
• Rooms will be chambered off by use of 6-mil poly and heavy zippers.
• All potential air gaps or intrusion points will be sealed out with the use of 6-mil poly.
• Decontamination chamber will be re-wrapped with 6-mil poly to ensure there are no
intrusions.
• All HEPA equipped negative air machines/scrubbers will undergo the three-phase
filtration change in accordance with the manufacturers specifications to ensure that there
are no accidental spore releases or puff backs. This will be done chamber by chamber
prior to the fogging discussed in the next bullet point.
• The entire interior of the structure will undergo an Ultra-Low Volume antimicrobial fog
to treat the air. This process will more than likely be done at least two other occasions
during the remediation as earlier applications will assist as working as misting or air
washing the structure and contents.
• The structure will be closed for access to anyone for 24-48 hours at which point ESG will
be lined up by Sasser Restoration (Orange County responsible for testing fees) to enter
the facility and conduct the Post Remediation Verification testing.
• Sasser Restoration will also coordinate and additional test at the office of Sasser
Restoration where the backpacks and electronics will have been cleaned/remediated and
placed within a testing chamber.
• Upon completion and successful passing of all testing, Sasser Restoration staff will return
to the site and deconstruct all containments and critical barriers, except for door
containments in the reconstruction drywall work area. This will be left for dust control
and suppression along with a HEPA equipped air scrubber. All equipment will be
removed. (Special Attention: Items that were boxed to assist in consolidating will not
be unpackaged by Sasser Restoration. This will allow the facility to place items back as
they wanted them for organizational purposes. The dumpster will remain on site for a
few days post remediation so they will have a location and the means to dispose of the
boxes/waste.)
Phone:(336)449-1144 PO Box 10,Whitsett,NC 27377 Fax:(336)449-1151
www.SASSERCOMPANEES.com
