Each component must serve eligible participants as defined under 25 CFR 576.2 and the NC ESG 2022 Desk <br />Guide. <br /> <br />Rapid Rehousing <br />Move homeless individuals and families quickly into permanent housing through rental assistance, housing relocation <br />and stabilization services. Subrecipients providing rapid rehousing activities will be responsible for recertification of any <br />household that receives more than 12 months of assistance. <br /> <br />Housing Relocation and Stabilization Services include: <br />•Housing stability case management <br />•Housing search and placement <br />•Mediation <br />•Legal services <br />•Credit repair <br /> <br />Financial Assistance includes: <br />•Rent application fees <br />•Security and utility deposits <br />•Last month’s rent <br />•Utility payments <br />•Moving costs <br />•Short-term & Medium-term Rental Assistance <br />•Arrears <br /> <br />Documenting Homeless Status / Client File documentation <br />Client files must be created, and forms completed, at entry and maintained throughout the duration, using the most up to date <br />forms from the DHHS_DAAS_NC ESG website. <br /> <br />Deviations from the minimum required documentation standards must be approved by the NC ESG Office prior to use. <br />ADMINISTRATION / PERFORMANCE MONITORING / COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />The Subrecipient must have policies and procedures regarding maintaining records including client files and all other backup <br />source documentation. The documentation must, at a minimum, follow the requirements of 24 CFR 576.500. Allowable <br />expenses must be incurred and paid prior to reimbursement.
