Orange County Commission for the Environment <br /> Meeting Summary <br /> December 13, 2021; 7:30 pm <br /> ortual Go To Meeting <br /> put together an agenda, take minutes and submit them to the Clerk to the Board for <br /> retention and distribution to the BOCC. <br /> - Wesley Poole discussed new member orientation that would be held on January 10, <br /> 2022. The regular CFE meeting will start at 7:30pm that night via Zoom,but new <br /> members coming on in January along with any other recent new members that would <br /> like to attend would be invited to join in at 7:00pm to discuss CFE policy and what to <br /> expect. <br /> - Kim Piracci notified the CFE of the upcoming 2020 Officer Election(Chair&Vice <br /> Chair positions)that would be held at the next CFE meeting in January. Kim stated <br /> that she would like to pass on the Chair position to another member of the CFE so be <br /> thinking about it. <br /> - Wesley Poole informed the CFE that Steven Arndt, Orange County Asset <br /> Management Services Director and Brennan Bouma's former supervisor, had <br /> received a Community Climate Action Grant proposal from the Chapel Hill/ <br /> Carrboro School System. Wesley stated that Steven had e-mailed CFE members a <br /> copy of the application and would like the CFE to review and be ready to discuss/ <br /> vote at the next CFE meeting in January. CFE members had a couple questions <br /> regarding the application, so staff will be forwarding those to Steven for answers <br /> prior to the meeting. <br /> VIL Adjournment <br /> Frank Binkowski motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 pm; seconded by Carrie <br /> Fletcher; none opposed; motion passed. <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
