Box 8181 <br /> www.orangecountync.gov NORTH CAROLINA Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> • WL fin <br /> October 11, 2021 <br /> Notice of Public Information Meeting and <br /> Planning Board Meeting <br /> for Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map and Zoning Atlas <br /> Amendments affecting the <br /> Eno Economic Development District <br /> Dear Property Owner: <br /> This letter is to notify you of upcoming meetings pertaining to proposed amendments to <br /> the Orange County Comprehensive Plan (specifically the Future Land Use Map <br /> contained within the plan) and to the Orange County Zoning Atlas (Map). <br /> You are receiving this notice because you own property located within 1,000-feet <br /> of parcels affected by the proposed amendments. <br /> YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS. <br /> This notification is occurring in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.8 Zoning <br /> Atlas and Unified Development Ordinance Amendments of the Orange County UDO. <br /> The Board of County Commissioners initiated amendments to the above referenced <br /> maps at its September 14, 2021 meeting. Please see the enclosed maps for specific <br /> locations and information. In summary, 112.2 acres of land, comprised of 34 parcels, is <br /> proposed for land use classifications/zoning districts that allow for less intense <br /> development than could currently potentially be developed. <br /> Planning Department staff will hold a remote (on-line) public information meeting via <br /> Zoom on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. to explain the proposal to interested <br /> persons and address any questions.
