He brings almost two decades of expertise in <br /> environmental liability characterization, remediation, risk identification, quantification, pollution <br /> insurance program design, and placement. At Alliant, Bill focuses his pollution liability practice on <br /> private equity, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare, and construction exposures. <br /> Bill was honored by the nationally recognized Risk& Insurance publication in 2009 as a "Power Broker: <br /> 40 under 40" for his expertise in environmental risk management. In 2012, he authored articles that <br /> appeared in Business Insurance, and Risk & Insurance. Bill is frequently called upon to provide <br /> commentary and opinions on industry developments. <br /> He began his professional career in 1993 with Roy F. Weston, Inc., an environmental engineering and <br /> consulting firm. In 2000, Bill accepted an advanced opportunity to work as an Environmental Analyst <br /> with Zurich Risk Management Services where he negotiated and settled complex pollution insurance <br /> claims. Later, he joined the Marsh Environmental Practice serving in various advanced roles with <br /> increasing authority, in multiple geographies, culminating in his responsibility for leading the Midwest <br /> Zone. Bill's focus during his tenure with Marsh was to assist clients by first identifying and quantifying <br /> exposures, then subsequently designing and marketing creative risk transfer solutions to the issues <br /> identified. <br /> Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with an Environmental Studies Certificate from Dickinson <br /> College, located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Bill earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental <br /> Science from the University of Oklahoma, located in Norman, Oklahoma and a Master of Business <br /> Administration from Goizueta Business School at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is licensed <br /> by the State of Georgia Department of Insurance as a Property&Casualty Broker, Surplus Lines Agent, <br /> and Consultant. In addition, Bill holds insurance licenses and surplus lines licenses in an additional 40 <br /> states. <br /> When not practicing his profession, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, especially his young son. <br /> He also takes pleasure in traveling internationally, and is an experienced fly-fisherman. <br /> Affiant <br /> - 56 - <br />
